Possibility of Turkish clusters at Belarusian FEZs discussed in Izmir

A possibility of setting up clusters of Turkish companies at the free economic zones (FEZs) of Belarus was discussed at the international business forum “Turkey – Trading Bridge 2014” in Izmir on 14 November, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

Attending the forum was Consul General of Belarus to Istanbul Igor Bely, who held a meeting with members of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Free Trade Zone.

“The parties discussed the prospects of attracting business circles of the Aegean region to do business in the free economic zones of Belarus, the possibility of setting up clusters of Turkish companies at the Belarusian FEZs. The country’s economic potential was presented at the forum,” the Foreign Ministry said.

The main issue of the forum was innovations in the production of food, consumer goods and technological equipment. Partaking in the event were businessmen from 130 countries. Belarus was represented by heads of the FEZ Grodnoinvest, Biocom Company and the food wholesale and retail trade network.
